Clayton Anderson

Eugene Campbell, Jr
. of Decatur, Georgia, was recently awarded "Best in Show" at the 23rd Carroll Harris Simms National Black Art Competition at the African American Museum in Dallas, Texas.

Al Doggett created illustrations for a number of advertising agencies in New York before opening his studio in Seattle in 1967, which now specializes in photographic restoration. He is well known as a fine artist.

Esther Ervin, MFA, exhibition curator, has exhibited and/ or worked as a Medical Illustrator and studio artist in California; Colombia, South America; Oregon and Washingtion. Mixed media sculpture and metalsmithing are her specialties.

Cynthia Fowler

Sharon Geraci is a mixed media artist and instructor with a primary focus on collage. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in the Pacific Northwest and in Washington, DC. Most of her work has specific socio-cultural references, including images, symbols, or motifs which are set against an abstract background, symbolizing the modern world.

Rajaa Gharbi

Robert Horton is the Co-founder of Northwest African American Fine Art Exhibition based in Seattle, Washington. He has been a recognized artist in the Northwest for over twenty years. His main media are in pen and ink, watercolor, acrylics, and airbrush. View his artist profile at www.nwartalliance.com.

George Jennings, Originally from Washington, D.C. is a local portrait artist who works with in acrylic, colored pencil and oil paints. George’s ultimate artistic goal: “I would like to show society that an African-American artist can appreciate and produce works that encompass many different cultures from around the world.”

Donald C. Leonard

Roosevelt Lewis is an African American painter and sculptor residing in Seattle, Washington who produces contemporary works, public Art design and site specific installations. His paintings and sculptures are influenced by the Black Cajun and Creole people of Central Louisiana where he grew up. Extensive travel abroad permeates his work.

Angelena McQuarter has been an artist since she was able to hold a crayon in her hand. In 1999 she decided to live life as a self- employed artist and began to exhibit and create with other artists of color. She’s studied techniques in bronze and glass casting, encaustics and graphic arts.

Charles H. Parrish grew up in Stewarts Draft, Virginia. Since moving to the State of Washington, he has fine-tuned his skills in all aspects of sculpture and stone carving. He was the recipient of a Pathways Scholarship and the Seattle Urban League’s James Washington Honorable Mention Award.

Charles G. Tatum, Jr.

Earnest Thomas' paintings are best described as abstract mixed media with a sculptural and industrial flair. He utilizes acrylic paint on board and often incorporates metal sheet, rod, or wire as an additional dimension which adds interplay between the outside and inside of the work through shadow, texture and color.

Carletta Carrington Wilson's collages have been exhibited at the Columbia City Gallery, Northwest African American Museum, Festival Sundiata, Harem and the Northwest African American Fine Arts Exhibition. In addition to visual works Ms. Wilson is a poet and writer. Her work has been described as "decorative with a message."
