OPPORTUNITY 
Artists are invited to submit proposals to paint an 8’x8’ mural which is one side of an 8’x8’x8’ Mural Box at the Downtown Redmond Art Walk in Redmond, Washington. Downtown Redmond Art Walk is a fall celebration that highlights local artists and businesses and includes temporary art installations in Downtown Park sponsored by the City of Redmond.

About the Grants for Artist Projects

Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) are unrestricted project-based grants of $1,500 awarded to 65 artists working in all disciplines across Washington State.

Funding may be used for but not limited to artist fees, materials, equipment, space rental, travel for research, documentation, professional development opportunities, marketing and promotion, support to continue a current project, support to start a new project, and many other needs related to your project.

3rd Annual All Women Exhibit – Artwork Drop-Off & Submission Instructions

Drop-off dates: Saturday, May 17 or Sunday, May 18 | 12–5 PM
Location: 600 Pine Street, 3rd Floor, Seattle, WA 98101

The 3rd Annual All Women Exhibit at Gallery Onyx showcases original work by women artists of African descent from the Pacific Northwest. Artists can apply by submitting up to two original pieces of 2D or 3D artwork and/or up to five items in the prints and handmade goods category. Drop off your work, along with a completed contract and inventory form, at Gallery Onyx on May 17 or 18 between 12–5 PM. Submission fees apply.

CATEGORY 1 ART

Paintings, Drawings, Photography, Ceramics, 2D/3D Art

• Submit up to 2 original pieces (no copies, derivatives, or work based on copyrighted material).

• Must be artist’s own work, for sale, and gallery-ready (wired for hanging; no sawtooth or taped hangers).

• Artwork shown at Gallery Onyx must have a 10-month gap before being resubmitted.

• Size Limits:

  • 2D work: max 48" x 48" before framing.

  • 3D work: max 20"H x 10"W x 10"D, under 20 lbs.

• Commission: Artist receives 70% of pre-tax price. Gallery retains 30%.

• Submission fee: $20 (nonrefundable), covers both Category 1 & 2 if Category 1 art is accepted.

• Selection is not guaranteed. Unselected work must be picked up after notification.

• Bring with your art: Completed contract and inventory form.

CATEGORY 2 ART

Prints, Jewelry, Notecards, Handmade Goods

• Up to 5 items per type (prints, jewelry, notecards, or handmade art).

• All items must be labeled with title, artist name, and price.

• Notecards must be in boxes or decorative packaging (no singles).

• Each item must match the info listed on your inventory form.

• Submission fee: $10 (nonrefundable), required for each exhibit.

• Category 1 artists may also submit Category 2 art at no extra cost.

• Bring with your art: Completed contract and inventory form.
